A New Path to High Resolution Analytical Time-of-Flight MS: Technology, System Design and Applications
The principles and advantages of a new innovative time-of-flight mass spectrometer employing Folded Flight Path™ (FFP™) technology are discussed. The general capabilities of this technology, as applied to atmospheric pressure ionization, HPLC, and GC analyses are reviewed. The utility of the technology in food safety, natural products analysis, high throughput screening, and other problems amenable to analysis using accurate mass measurement and high speed data acquisition are presented, including mass accuracy, relative isotope abundance, and dynamic range.
