Al material sin formar se le recortaban partes para lograr los resultados deseados. Sin embargo, en la d\u00e9cada de 1970, una nueva revoluci\u00f3n de fabricaci\u00f3n estaba comenzando. El dise\u00f1o asistido por computadora (CAD) era capaz de guiar l\u00e1seres apuntados a pl\u00e1stico l\u00edquido, fusion\u00e1ndolo en pl\u00e1stico s\u00f3lido. Con los a\u00f1os, la fabricaci\u00f3n aditiva se ha perfeccionado y mejorado. Se pudieron utilizar m\u00e1s materiales, lo que abri\u00f3 un mundo de posibilidades. Las principales empresas tecnol\u00f3gicas desarrollaron instrumentos que pod\u00edan realizar impresiones aditivas o que estaban fabricados con piezas impresas mediante adici\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A medida que expiraban las primeras patentes, muchas m\u00e1s empresas pudieron unirse al negocio de la manufactura aditiva, lo que llev\u00f3 a un auge en el desarrollo y la comprensi\u00f3n. Los beneficios de la fabricaci\u00f3n aditiva resultaron incre\u00edblemente atractivos para ciertas industrias, como la de la aviaci\u00f3n. Con la fabricaci\u00f3n aditiva, se pod\u00edan fabricar piezas que antes habr\u00edan sido inviables, como piezas huecas con entramados de soporte interiores para reducir considerablemente el peso sin sacrificar la resistencia o la integridad de la pieza, aumentando as\u00ed la eficiencia de un motor de reacci\u00f3n, por ejemplo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La fabricaci\u00f3n aditiva, a pesar de todas sus ventajas y crecimiento, no es un proceso perfecto e infalible, y sigue siendo tan importante como siempre contar con un fuerte control de calidad de las piezas que se fabrican. Las t\u00e9cnicas de an\u00e1lisis, como la espectroscopia de descarga luminiscente, pueden permitir el an\u00e1lisis en masa y la perfilaci\u00f3n de profundidad cuantitativa de los materiales, para lograr una comprensi\u00f3n completa de la composici\u00f3n elemental y garantizar que las capas se hayan construido correctamente.
