B\u00e1sicamente, una aleaci\u00f3n es solo un metal modificado. Las superaleaciones son similares, but estos materiales espec\u00edficos de alto rendimiento se rigen por un est\u00e1ndar m\u00e1s alto. Por lo general, tienen una base de n\u00edquel, cobalto, titanio o hierro. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Para ser clasificada como una superaleaci\u00f3n, la aleaci\u00f3n debe ser capaz de funcionar de manera confiable a temperaturas extremadamente altas, poseer una resistencia y estabilidad superficial superiores, y debe ser resistente a la deformaci\u00f3n por termofluencia. Una fuerte resistencia a la corrosi\u00f3n y a la oxidaci\u00f3n tambi\u00e9n son caracter\u00edsticas de las superaleaciones, pero es importante se\u00f1alar que no son inmunes a la oxidaci\u00f3n con el tiempo si no se toman medidas de protecci\u00f3n. Desafortunadamente, incluso cuando se toman medidas de protecci\u00f3n, los contaminantes como el azufre amenazan con hacer in\u00fatil dicha protecci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-global-padding is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading is-style-h2-style\" style=\"margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--2-xl)\">\u00bfPor qu\u00e9 es importante la protecci\u00f3n contra la oxidaci\u00f3n?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La oxidaci\u00f3n afecta negativamente a una superaleaci\u00f3n al debilitar su resistencia, lo que con el tiempo puede provocar fragilidad y agrietamiento. Dado que los materiales de alto rendimiento, como las superaleaciones, se utilizan principalmente y se conf\u00eda en ellos en industrias como la aeroespacial y la energ\u00eda nuclear, es fundamental que estos materiales funcionen seg\u00fan lo previsto. Las fallas de los materiales podr\u00edan ser la diferencia entre la vida y la muerte, en algunas circunstancias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Control de la oxidaci\u00f3n mediante oxidaci\u00f3n selectiva<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-default wp-block-paragraph\">Para hacer que las superaleaciones sean a\u00fan m\u00e1s indestructibles y protegerlas contra la oxidaci\u00f3n, se realiza una oxidaci\u00f3n selectiva. Con la oxidaci\u00f3n selectiva, las superaleaciones se dise\u00f1an para oxidarse de manera que se cree una capa protectora de material oxidado que \u201ccubre\u201d la aleaci\u00f3n, evitando que el ox\u00edgeno invada la estructura interna de la aleaci\u00f3n. Sin embargo, esto significa que para seguir protegiendo la infraestructura de la superaleaci\u00f3n, la capa oxidada protectora debe permanecer estable e intacta.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-global-padding is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading is-style-h2-style\" style=\"margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--2-xl)\">Azufre: Una amenaza peligrosa<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La presencia de azufre, incluso en niveles de trazas, puede interferir con el proceso de oxidaci\u00f3n selectiva. El azufre degrada esa capa protectora, dejando a la superaleaci\u00f3n vulnerable a la oxidaci\u00f3n negativa y acortando su vida \u00fatil. Por lo tanto, la determinaci\u00f3n precisa del contenido de azufre, hasta la d\u00e9cima de microgramo, es fundamental para garantizar un rendimiento \u00f3ptimo y la longevidad en las superaleaciones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Una t\u00e9cnica de combusti\u00f3n para la seguridad definitiva<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-default wp-block-paragraph\">Hist\u00f3ricamente, la \u00fanica forma de determinar con precisi\u00f3n niveles ultrabajos de azufre era con\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.leco.com\/es\/analisis-de-nucleo\/espectrometria-de-emision-optica\/\" data-type=\"coreanalysis\" data-id=\"2139\">espectrometr\u00eda de masas por descarga luminiscente (GD-MS)<\/a>, debido a su gran sensibilidad.
