Les sols ayant une teneur \u00e9lev\u00e9e en COT indiquent des niveaux \u00e9lev\u00e9s de biodiversit\u00e9, car le carbone organique alimente l'activit\u00e9 microbienne. Cette biodiversit\u00e9 accrue est incroyablement b\u00e9n\u00e9fique pour le sol. Elle stimule le cycle des nutriments et la suppression naturelle des maladies, tout en contribuant \u00e0 la fertilit\u00e9 globale du sol et \u00e0 la productivit\u00e9 des plantes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"padding-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--60)\">La biodiversit\u00e9 des sols conduit \u00e9galement \u00e0 une meilleure r\u00e9tention d'eau. Le carbone organique lie les particules du sol entre elles pour former des agr\u00e9gats stables, ce qui am\u00e9liore la structure globale du sol et lui permet de retenir davantage d'eau. Cette prouesse favorise la sant\u00e9 globale des plantes et la s\u00e9questration du carbone. Cependant, les sols \u00e0 faible teneur en COT connaissent une biodiversit\u00e9 limit\u00e9e, ce qui entra\u00eene une mauvaise structure du sol, des quantit\u00e9s plus importantes d'\u00e9rosion et des rendements agricoles r\u00e9duits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-global-padding is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading is-style-h2-style\">Les d\u00e9fis de la d\u00e9termination du COT<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Il est important que les acteurs du secteur agricole accordent une attention particuli\u00e8re aux taux de COT dans leurs sols s'ils veulent optimiser leurs cultures. Conna\u00eetre les taux de COT permet d'\u00e9viter l'ajout aveugle de nutriments au sol, ce qui peut potentiellement r\u00e9duire les co\u00fbts et le travail inutiles. Cependant, l'analyse du sol pour d\u00e9terminer le COT comporte son propre lot de d\u00e9fis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Par exemple, pour distinguer avec pr\u00e9cision le carbone organique du carbone inorganique, il est n\u00e9cessaire de s\u00e9parer efficacement les diff\u00e9rentes formes de carbone au cours de l&#x27;analyse. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leco.com\/fr\/instrument\/multi-phase-carbone-eau\/\" data-type=\"instrument\" data-id=\"2261\">Le RC612 de LECO r\u00e9pond \u00e0 ce d\u00e9fi<\/a> gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 sa m\u00e9thode de diff\u00e9renciation par temp\u00e9rature, en contr\u00f4lant pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment les conditions d'oxydation et de d\u00e9composition pour quantifier s\u00e9lectivement les fractions de carbone. Alternativement, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leco.com\/fr\/instrument\/analyseurs-de-carbone-et-de-soufre\/\" data-type=\"instrument\" data-id=\"2231\">la m\u00e9thode de pr\u00e9traitement \u00e0 l&#x27;acide du C832<\/a> assure l'\u00e9limination fiable du carbone inorganique avant la combustion pour une mesure pr\u00e9cise du carbone organique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"padding-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--60)\">Ces approches aident \u00e0 att\u00e9nuer les probl\u00e8mes courants tels que l'\u00e9limination incompl\u00e8te des carbonates, l'h\u00e9t\u00e9rog\u00e9n\u00e9it\u00e9 des \u00e9chantillons ou l'oxydation incompl\u00e8te.
