O material n\u00e3o formado tinha partes cortadas para alcan\u00e7ar os resultados desejados. No entanto, na d\u00e9cada de 1970, uma nova revolu\u00e7\u00e3o industrial estava come\u00e7ando. O design auxiliado por computador (CAD) era capaz de guiar lasers apontados para pl\u00e1stico l\u00edquido, fundindo-o em pl\u00e1stico s\u00f3lido. Ao longo dos anos, a manufatura aditiva passou por itera\u00e7\u00f5es e refinamentos. Mais materiais puderam ser utilizados, abrindo um mundo de possibilidades. Grandes empresas de tecnologia desenvolveram instrumentos que podiam lidar com a impress\u00e3o aditiva ou que eram feitos usando pe\u00e7as impressas por manufatura aditiva.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00c0 medida que as primeiras patentes expiravam, muitas outras empresas puderam entrar no neg\u00f3cio de manufatura aditiva, levando a um boom no desenvolvimento e na compreens\u00e3o. Os benef\u00edcios da manufatura aditiva eram incrivelmente atraentes para certas ind\u00fastrias, como a ind\u00fastria da avia\u00e7\u00e3o. Com a manufatura aditiva, podiam ser feitas pe\u00e7as que antes seriam invi\u00e1veis, como pe\u00e7as ocas com treli\u00e7as de suporte internas para reduzir drasticamente o peso sem sacrificar a resist\u00eancia ou a integridade da pe\u00e7a, aumentando assim a efici\u00eancia de um motor a jato, por exemplo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A fabrica\u00e7\u00e3o aditiva, apesar de todas as suas vantagens e crescimento, n\u00e3o \u00e9 um processo perfeito e infal\u00edvel, e continua sendo fundamental realizar um rigoroso controle de qualidade das pe\u00e7as fabricadas.
