From Trusted Data to Trusted Results: A Multimodal GC×GC-HRMS Strategy for Non-Targeted Analyte Annotation
Dr. Viatcheslav (“Slava”) Artaev will present a real-world investigation into detergent-related allergic reactions that targeted testing could not explain. Untargeted GC×GC-HRTOFMS with multimode ionisation and complementary EI, PCI, and NCI data revealed 37 known fragrance allergens and dozens of compounds capable of forming potentially harmful by-products in chlorinated tap water. The study shows how enhanced separation, accurate-mass data, and aligned ionisation modes improve confidence in non-targeted analyte annotation.
Discuss your application, explore LECO instrumentation and workflows, or arrange a meeting with our team at IMSC 2026.
